2004 Tailgate Russ Road Trip will be to the windy city of Chicago
this year. Chicago is a great town and has a lot in common with Philly
- terrific pubs, passionate fans and a great place to watch a football
game! We'll be heading out on Friday, October 1st for 4 days and 3
nights of a fun packed weekend. We'll return on Monday, October 4th.

Do you want to catch the
Cubs play at historic Wrigley Field on Friday,
October 1st - only an additional $50 and round trip bus transportation
for $10 more. How about Notre Dame vs. Purdue at South Bend on
Saturday, October 2nd - just $200 per ticket but you're on your
own for
transportation.
Since this is a noon kickoff,
I will not be doing the big tailgate
party before the game this year. I am sure folks will be moving
a bit
slow Sunday morning anyway, since it follows Saturday night and
some of
the pubs out there are open to 5am. I plan to be doing some pub
crawling on Saturday and will let everyone know the agenda as we
get
closer. As I said before, Chicago has some great pubs and here are
4 of
my favorites that are all within a couple of blocks of our hotel

Bar.

Chicago
is a tough town to tailgate in and with the early kickoff and the
late
night/early morning a lot of us will be having - getting up and
heading
off to the game I think will be the way to go. Now New Orleans in
2005
is a different story! Stay tuned for that!
