U-15 Shrimp

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds of shrimp
  • Anything and everything in your spice cabinet
  • Hot Sauce
  • Worcester Sauce
  • Mojo
See these are simple recipes - just good 'ole tailgate recipes. I buy a 5 pound box from Lawrence Street Seafood down in South Philly at the distribution center corner of Packer Ave. and Lawrence Street. Great guys down there and high quality shrimp. Their phone number is 215-336-0300. If you can't get down there, Mal at the Center Point Gulf has someone who can get him any kind of seafood and deliver it to your house. There's more than just gas being dealt at the Gulf station! Or you can always go to a seafood market or the grocery store. If they don't have the U-15's (15 to a pound) then get the U 16-20's. Run your shrimp under the water or just let them sit in water for a few minutes. Peel and devein your shrimp then put them in that freezer bag. When I say anything in your spice cabinet, that's what I mean. I'll sprinkle garlic salt, seasoned pepper, dry mustard, Old Bay, oregano, Walker jerk marinade - it doesn't matter. Then just give a few shakes of the Worcester and Hot sauce plus the Mojo - seal that up and marinade away. I'll make this up the night before so that's one more thing taken care of. When you put them on the grill, just keep an eye on them and turn a few times. They should be ready to devour within 5 minutes. U-15's baby - they're the best!
